Lee (8:55 AM 6/5/2007): Oh yes, let's put Britany "no talent, lip syncing" Spears in place of Paula "Everyone is brilliant" Abdul and Randy "you were the bomb" Jackson, by all means! And, what....she will be the one deciding who HAS talent and who DOESN'T! I truly wish that show would just go off the air because after the first year or two, it has had nothing to do with talent at all. It's a reality show gone bad, and with Britany Spears in the hot seat, it's a complete insult, to anyone with talent. Find someplace to show off your talent kids, because this goose is cooked!

DOLLphin (9:03 AM 6/5/2007): Well, if this turns out to be true, which I doubt, I won't be watching Idol next season. This past season was frustrating enough watching talented, serious people leave while Sanjaya reeked havoc for fun. Thank goodness it worked out in the end. I feel that Britney Spears would just make the show cheesy, like a remix of the gong show. It would be the equivalent of David Hasselhoff judging America's got talent. Sheesh

If you hire Brittany Spears, I will not be watching. She is a disgrace to the human race and is certainly not a good example for young people. Leave it as it is. The judges have made very good choices so far.

mythoughtexactly (8:58 AM 6/5/2007): What the hell is all this talk I hear all the time about how the judges can't sing and who are they to judge? Uh they are paid to judge idiot. So I guess beauty pagent judges have to be beautiful? A clothing designer has to be a perfect size? They are there to judge. Do these people that make these comments live in fairytale world? Yea what a great show it would be if it went like this. A singer gets up sings and judge 1 says great job judge 2 says great job and finally judge 3 says great job. Yea let me know when that show will be on I think I will go stare at the wall instead...would be just as entertaining. As far as the article I think the other judges will be bigfoot and aliens.

I will not watch if they get fired, and I do not believe that Simon would continue if they got fired. AND Britney Spears..that oughta tell you right there it is gossip only they are getting fired. That poor girl is a little unstable at the moment...

Jan (9:11 AM 6/5/2007): Simon is the only real judge on the show. He tells it like it is. The only thing he can improved on is the way he talks to people. But...that's Simon. At least he's doing his job. Paula is just repeat of what Randy says, which is always, "Hey dawg...check it out..and yes...it was a little pitchy for me". Malinda was a favorite of Simon's. Yes...she was fantastic...Jordon was good too, but there was a quailty about Malinda. When Carrie Underwood won...that was the real winner. Nobody sang like her...she's got quailty also. AL isn't what it was before. Simon knows what he's talking about. Just needs to be a little more kinder.

Frank (10:03 AM 6/5/2007): Paula & Randy are part of what makes Idol interesting. Take them out of the equation and it will mean the end of the show. Remember this; "if it aint broke dont fix it".

Gary (9:07 AM 6/5/2007): This "rumor" is beyond silly. Britney Spears? That's like trading a train wreck (Paula) for a hurricane (Britney). I agree there will be changes next year, but I don't think it will revolve around changing the judges or booting Ryan Seacrest. I'd like to a change in how the final 10 is reached, make it strictly via the on-air judges. After that throw it open to voting by the "public."

I would probably give Idol a shot with new judges just to see if it is still worth watching. I might not stick with it throughout the season but I would give it a shot. NOT however, if Spears is a judge. I wouldn't put a quarter in a machine at the pizza parlor to watch that piece of trash who won't even carry her own child.I don't often stand on principal but this is one of the times I won't falter. I refuse to do anything, watch or listen to anything that will put a penny in the talentless ho's pocket or encourage her arrogance and "above the law" attitude.

IdolStinks (9:08 AM 6/5/2007): Replacing one has been teenie bopper idol turned dope head with another. I understand, gotta keep things fresh!! The only one on that panel worthy enough to be a judge is Randy. He is a true first class studio musician who has played on countless #1 albums..just look up his name, you'll see.
What has Paula done? Had a few hits that were written for her in the early ninties?!?!
and Simon?? Ohh He signed the teletubiies to a record deal!!!
