carlton wilson (2:13 PM 6/9/2007): BooHoo! I am elated to see that Paris will actually serve her sentence in jail. Her reckless driving charge was a gift in the first place. It should have been DUI. I could do 45 days standing on my head. This immature, nearly illiterate child has no idea how bad things can get, and hopefully, this will open her eyes and who knows? Possibly save her life? "Mom, Mom, it isn't right!" LMAO!!!
Mike (2:27 PM 6/9/2007): does anyone know about the brothers of paris are they worth 150 mil aswell or what
popgoestheweasel (2:40 PM 6/9/2007): There is also plenty of room at the county prison facility for Barron Hilton too if he ever gets the notion to violate the law and arrogently expect to get away with it.
Lee M. (2:43 PM 6/9/2007): While I am thoroughly disgusted with the unwarranted and excessive attention given Paris and her pals, Brittany, Nichole and Lindsey, I still think justice should be fair! Paris was sentenced to jail time for dishonoring her probation ... that seemed fair. And after time to adjust to what appeared an inevitability, Paris perpared herself and at the designated time appeared ready to 'do her time' with a certain amount of grace. However, when the sheriff decided that she ought to be sent home (regardless of the reason) and released her, I find the subsequent circus that has erupted dreadfully unfair to this young woman ~ and a mockery of our judicial system! What is going on at present with regard to this case is a pissing contest between the judge and the sheriff's department! (I'm in charge! No, I AM! My dad is bigger than your dad ... well my dad is smarter! etc., etc!) Paris didn't escape from jail for God sake! She didn't bribe anyone! She was released and placed on house arrest. That should have been the end of it. She should NOT have been so abruptly and disrespectfully yanked out of her home only hours after she was released! She's NOT a criminal! And she certainly should not have been subjected to the ire of the judge whose 'sentence' was not carried out by the sheriff's department as ordered ... that was NOT PARIS' FAULT! I find the behavior of the legal and judicial jurisdictions responsible for this mess at grave fault. Paris is NOT a ping-pong ball! She should be be allowed to be jerked around with little to no regard or respect! That she is a spoiled and self-centered young woman who needs to grow up and make something of herself, is not in dispute. But, regardless of the mindless behavior that got her into this mess in the first place, she should NOT be allowed to be 'the whipping girl' ~ disrespected and even abused ~ in the process of so-called, 'justice!' Under the circumstances, she should have been allowed to go home and remain there, under house arrest for the duration of her sentence! And, as to the judge and sheriff involved in all of this, let THEM 'duke it out' in court room, or, better yet, in the back alley ... in which case, I hope they are both arrested for disorderly conduct and sentenced accordingly!!!!
Too Sad (2:48 PM 6/9/2007): I can NOT believe that anyone had the GALL to even compare Paris Hilton to Princess Di! That guy has to be doing some heavy drugs. America's Princess Di my tookis! Someone take that guy's pipe! While Paris was out there driving around drunk on probation, she very well could have run over any innocent person, even worse, a child, and then what would she do faced with LIFE in prison? Time for lil' spoiled rich girl who "brings beauty to our otherwise mundane lives" or whatever idiocy she said, needs to get it through her thick stuck on herself skull that the world does NOT revolve around her and Mummy and just suck it up and do the time SHE set herself up for. After the Governor refused her pettion for a pardon, I KNEW that a "medical condition" was coming. And to Greenleaf whoever you are..if you don't like our justice system, try one in another country. Anywhere else little Paris would have gotten a lot more of a punishment than a measley 45 days for doing something that stupid that she should be thanking God on her knees that she didn't kill anyone while thinking she was immune from the law. HAD she run over anyone "because she is Paris and she can do what she wants" her victim's family would be the next owners of the Hilton empire and then HOW would they be able to pay anyone off?
ron (3:39 PM 6/9/2007): Wait a minute!
Paris was sent to jail, which she did what she was supose to do, report to jail to serve her time, then this stupid sheriff decided to let her out, under house arrest without consulting with the Judge(bet the sheriff pockets are full of $. I agree she should have stayed in jail, but the sheriff did this for his own beneift, what the heck is going on. By early next week she will be back out..wait and see if the judge doesnt reverse his own decesion. The whole bunch are crocked and should be locked up with her.
Judd (3:47 PM 6/9/2007): Can you imagine how much fun it would be to nibble on Paris' brother Barron's sphincter? Maybe suck on it real hard until some dung pops out.
roadrebelpete (3:48 PM 6/9/2007): Brother Barron,More rich white trash
Just me (3:52 PM 6/9/2007): First let me say that she deserved to go to jail for the probation violation. Honestly, there have been times that I have thought about doing something stupid, but the fear of going to jail has kept me on the straight and narrow. If I screwed up and did end up serving time, I don't think I would be allowed to go home because I had a "medical" condition. I am sure I would be freaked out to find myself behind bars. It comes down to "do the crime, serve the time". That said, this does seem to be a pissing contest between the judge and the sherrif that let her out. I am not sure if any of us, if given the choice to do house arrest or stay in jail would have said ya know, I think I'll just stay right here. We all would have gladly went home and been humbled by the experience. I'm not saying that is what Paris did, I don't know what she did. I agree with her initial sentence, but I am not sure that taking her back was done because of anything that she did. Do I feel for her? As much as I would anyone else that found themselves in jail. Part of me thinks they deserve it, and part of me tries to put myself in their shoes and does feel bad. But you can only feel so bad, because they did it to themselves.
greg (2:38 PM 6/11/2007): Do the crime - do the time, that's what would happen to any other person:

Gary Wroblewski Coach Wrobo! (4:09 PM 6/9/2007): We have Marines dying in Iraq, our food supply is being contaminated with the e-coli bacteria, and we are worried about a 26 tyear old spoiled, bratty, high school dropout drama queen? Wake up America and concentrate about safety and security in this country. It is to quiet out there! Something, someone, somewhere is planning on killing thousands of Americans and we are worried about Paris Hilton crying to mommy in a courtroom! We will all be crying if we don't re-focus on what is important in the United States of America! Her 45 days will come and go! Re-focus everyone!!!
Sonia (4:18 PM 6/9/2007): Sheriff BACA should do the 45 days in jail for causing this mess .
I wonder how many special favors he has done for non rich.
Allison (4:52 PM 6/9/2007): So Paris has a younger brother who wants to be exactly like his older sister: useless, stupid, boring, lawless, spoiled, undisciplined, and a drunk. With any luck, this Hilton waste of space may actually kill someone while under the influence. These kids' parents would be proud of their dumb ass kids.
Paris must be proud of her little brother. She's now the official Queen of the Land of Uncontrollable Useless Spoiled Brats.
Shelly (5:13 PM 6/9/2007): I feel a bit bad for Paris now. Her 23 day stint was fine. However, the bad judgement of the asshole sheriff made it worse for her. I think Paris should go back to jail to finish her 23 days and the sheriffs should be put in jail for the remaining 23 days.
Linda Beranek (5:50 PM 6/9/2007): Paris needs Almighty God in her life, perhaps she will learn the hard way that you pay for your sins.
JACKIE PRICE (6:32 PM 6/9/2007): I DONT UNDERSTAND THE BIG DEAL. SHE SAID SHE DIDNT WANT TO BE TREATED ANY DIFFERENT THEN THE REGULAR JOE. WELL WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD PARIS. AND YOUR STILL GETTING BETTER TREATMENT THEN MOST.
marge (7:23 PM 6/9/2007): Justice for everyone but i dont see this as justice..who else had to serve the time like her...she has money and shes rich and shes spoiled but she should be treated the same as anyone else...this is not right..for all those casting stones at her take at look at the justice in this country...look at oj and mj...look at all the child molesters in your hood.....thats justice...get a grip you idiots...
Traci (7:37 PM 6/9/2007): Waaaahhhhh...Sorry Paris,I have 0 sympathy for you.I spent 4 years in prison for a DUI & in honesty, the best thing that ever happenned to me. Instead of 'whining & screaming' like a 3 yr. old,be grateful you never killed anyone.Think about your actions.I put blame on the world if my grass grew to fast.Look at you & learn to love you.Sobriety is awesome, try it.As an ex-bartender of 28 yrs,I never thought I could quit...I HAVE & life is good!I 100% agree w/ what the judge did, sorry, but it's a blessing from above, not punishment.Quit cyring & being the victim.
Sheryl (8:31 PM 6/9/2007): If ever arrested in LA "donate" to Sheriff BACA and kiss your sentence good bye lol thanks BACA
Blanche (8:36 PM 6/9/2007): It continues to amaze me how many ignorant people have computers. The majority of the states have an alcohol limit higher than California. She was borderline. If it had not been for the papparazzi and her fame she wouldn't have even been pulled over or charged. A police officer has the discretion of charging someone or not when they are pulled over. Obviously they can't cut someone a break even if they are only borderline if they are a celebrity because the papparazzi follow the celebrity everywhere they go. In most cities across the nation police will give someone a ride home, allow them to go to a restaurant nearby to have a meal, take their keys or license without charging them, allow them to call someone to pick them up, allow someone else to drive them home, etc. Ms Hilton was not drunk. She was, as I stated, slightly over the very low limit set for alcohol in California. She tested at what was equivalent to 1 1/2 drinks. That is equal to 1 1/2 beers or 1 1/2 wines. If she only had 1 1/2 mixed drinks that could be to her disfavor, though, as I am sure that wherever she was drinking they mixed her drinks strong to begin with. I wouldn't even be surprised if a bartender in the club has an inside track with a papparazzi who is informed whenever she leaves the club and gets a cutback for it. There is a lot of money paid for first photos, etc. That is another subject, though.
The majority of the people that get a DUI are allowed to drive to and from work, (regardless of what their job is). If Ms Hilton's lawyer didn't make it absolutely clear to her that she was not allowed to drive, (and he should've made that part of his case), then HE should be facing prison, not her.
If Sheriff Baca actually did something wrong by determining that Ms Hilton should spend her time under house arrest, then that is on him, not her. So, why is SHE being forced to serve the entire 45 day sentence??? She will likely only serve 36 days anyway, but that is still 13 days more than the original determination. If the judge was upset with what Sheriff Baca did, then he should've punished Sheriff Baca. Oh yeah, but he couldn't punish the sheriff because he acted within his job description. This entire thing is cruel, unusual, and unnecessary punishment. The Hiltons should sue the DA and Judge Sauer, (Judge Sour-Puss).
The one single thing that bothers me the most is: WHY ISN'T THE LAPD, THE DA, THE FEDS, RAIDING AND BRINGING CHARGES AGAINST THE CLUBS THAT ARE SERVING CELEBRITY MINORS, SERVING PEOPLE PAST THE LIMIT OF INTOXICATION, AND ALLOWING ILLEGAL DRUG SALES IN THEIR CLUBS? IT SMELLS LIKE PIG PAYOFF AND IGNORANCE TO ME!!!
To all you HATERS AND MASTERB'S...QUIT! Don't be jealous just because you aren't attractive, rich, or thin. GET OVER IT! I am none of those. I am a fair and just person, and I can recognize injustice without being clouded by jealousy. Thanks to Harvey Levin, Mark Geragos, Michael Levine, and other knowledgable attorneys for lending your voice and your highly respected opinion to the injustice of this situation. NO THANKS to MADD, SHARP-TONGUE, THE PAPPARAZZI, THE MEDIA, THE MORAL MINORITY, etc. for continuing to fuel the fire that should've never been made into a fire storm to begin with. WHAT? You can't resurrect Anna Nicole so you have to find another witch to burn at the stake???
