Blanche (8:49 PM 6/9/2007): WHY is it that the papparazzi are always on the spot when a cop pulls over a celebrity??? I'll tell you why...THEY are the ones that called the cops. It isn't because they are concerned citizens. It is because their photos and stories as the first people on the scene pay big bucks, (hundreds of thousands of dollars). How would any of you feel if everytime you came out of your house people with cameras were following your every move? Then, they report you to the police everytime you have a drink because they may get the opportunity to get photos of you being arrested.
All of the celebrity arrests that have been made recently aren't due to the cops being vigilant. It is because a papparazzi has called it in so they can get pictures and a story. Are the American people that stupid that they can't see what is going on here???

We have a war in Iraq and Afganistan Terrorest threats a border in chaos and some whore who has money she did not earn gets top billing in the news because she is going to spend a few weeks in Jail. Better then years for manslaughter for killing someone whil driving drunk. Maybe jail time will save her life or maybe yous.

marcia (8:53 PM 6/9/2007): How can any of you blame the sheriff? If it was not for the fact that Paris had her doctor there every day, several times a day, and her lawyers, and her whining, mewling phone calls to her mother, she would still have been in jail and the sheriff would not have even considered letting her out. If she had simply kept quiet and served her time LIKE AN ADULT, not like a WHINING, SPOILED ROTTEN LITTLE BRAT, she would not have been sent home before she should have been released. IT IS HER FAULT she was released, not just the sheriff. Sure, he is obviously celebrity stricken, and quite likely he got paid off in some form or other to let her out, but PARIS and/or her family and her high-priced, high-powered lawyers and her high-priced psychiatrist who is paid to say whatever the family wants him to say caused this whole fiasco. NOW she says she will serve her time and not appeal her sentence. Why is that? Most likely because she will have to provide IN WRITING the reason for her "medical condition" that should warrant her being sent home, and that "medical condition" might be very embarrassing to admit to, or her family and PR guy saw the huge numbers - like 93% - who thought she should stay in jail where she belongs, and decided her career will be in the tank if she tries to get out again. As far as her DUI is concerned, a DUI is a DUI, and she could have killed someone while driving under the DUI. She is lucky she didn't. She had a second chance, then drove on a suspended license and got probation. She got a third chance, but drove on a suspended license at 70 miles per hour WITHOUT HEADLIGHTS. How many chances does she need before she WAKES UP AND SEE THE LIGHT! Lindsey Lohan and Nicole Richie are the next two to go, and if I was them I would be shaking in my boots. Someone needs to give these brats a wakeup call because obviously their parents and "advisers" are not doing a very good job at it.

marcia (9:15 PM 6/9/2007): May I ask, DHilton, what good it does to extend someone's probation when they violate the probation they are already on? Apparently, it didn't matter that they were on probation to begin with, so why bother extending it. And someone questioned whether it was Paris who drove without headlights or Nicole Richie. On 2-27-07 at 10:30 pm Paris was stopped for speeding at 70 miles per hour on Sunset Blvd. without her headlights on. Nicole Richie was cited for a DUI while driving the wrong way on the Ventura Freeway. I might also ask - why don't any of these idiots USE DRIVERS? They can well afford to hire private drivers, or rent limousines, or take taxis. Why do they insist on driving themselves when they want to party? They could party hearty until falling down drunk or drugged LEGALLY so long as they aren't driving.

Also, she should have been given community service for 3 months or so for braking the Law so that she could learn from it and be usefull to the society. Going to jail and all this drama is biggest waste of Tax payers money, and ofcourse the State does not care , because nobody is spending their money. Tax money should have been used to catch real criminals, who are always deceiving the system and laughing at it day and day out. If that is not true then the crime should not be in Los Angeles.Think criticaly and logically.
