Sandman (1:03 PM 6/10/2007): cock I tell you... cock.
Sandra Miller (1:20 PM 6/10/2007): Well, I feel a little empathy for Paris.
Being stuck at home with an awful flu bug all weekend,
I can't imagine what being in that bare prison room
would be like. I hope she's allowed to read and write.
From all I can gather, almost from the moment she was born, her mother told her she was going to be a greater star than Elizabeth Taylor. If this is really true, it would account for a lot of the way Paris is.
Maybe jailtime will cause her to think about what
she has done, and what she will do better later.
When she cried out in court "This is unfair", she
was referring to the fact that they pulled her away from her mother before she could hug her "good-bye".
I am not a Paris Hilton fan, but I don't dislike her
either.
JUDY (1:23 PM 6/10/2007): WOW the green eyed monster reared its ugle head in here lol. I think about all the celebs that have gotten nailed for drugs and dui's amd how many went to jail? Very few. This judge didn't like PH so he nailed her. I think she is really having a melt down about being in jail and she is frightened. Sure she really isn't a celeb except for her name and money, but is it right or fair that she be the one to be used as an example.? I cannot beleive how jealous people are of her money lol She is not the brightest bulbn in Hollywood for sure but no one deserves to be the scape goat for some judge that wants to punish someone from lalaland. The cop had every right to make the decision to send her home with a braclet. She cried non stop and didn't eat or sleep. Thus annoying the other "visitors" and this cop didn't want her having some kind of breakdown and then taking the blame for it. He did what anyone else in charge would do. The public outcry of those that wanted her locked up because of the way she acts is what prompted all of this mess. This is not over yet and that judge will be reprimanded and so will that DA when this is all over as they should be.
She isn't OJ simpson who took a walk after 2 brutal murders. There wasn't much out cry then by all the do gooders. In fact if OJ had been tried for just one murder at a time he would probably be in jail. But PH is far more important lol Ask the bloggers.
David (1:25 PM 6/10/2007): I was never fond of this person, Paris Hilton. But what have we come that we have no charitableness anymore toward someone who is clearly sick. If I had been under the pressure that she was on Friday, it would have made me freaking crazy.
Personally, I am no longer going to bad-mouth her. The News people are having way too much fun doing that already.
Theresa Ermel (1:36 PM 6/10/2007): I do not feel sorry for Paris, there are so many people out there that have lost a loved one because of drinking and driving. What does it have to take?
She either kills herself, or a family, and then will someone take this so lightly? She does not follow the law, oh well DO THE TIME! I know one thing
if it were me, I wouldn't be on television, and no one would have cared, but
because our news media, is so stupid they call this news, and Paris is so famous.....what has she done?
JOHN (1:38 PM 6/10/2007): PARIS. DON'T KNOW IF YOU'LL EVER READ THIS, BUT I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO DEAL WITH THIS SITUATION. I TOO AT ONE TIME HAD JUST BEEN DRINKING AND HAVING A GOOD TIME WITH MY BROTHER AND A COUPLE OF LADIES. HE WAS LIVING WITH MY MOM AND SHE WAS AT WORK. I WAS LIVING WITH MY DAD. MY BROTHER ASKED ME TO GO TO THE STORE FOR MORE BEER(NOT HAMBURGERS OR FOOD) IN HIS CAR IN ANOTHER TOWN. THIS TOWNS' POLICE FORCE WAS KNOWN FOR HARRASSMENT AND I SHOULD OF KNOWN BETTER TO GO THERE WHEN I DID. THEY ALSO KNEW HIS CAR AND DIDN'T LIKE IT(73' ROADRUNNER), BUT I WENT ANYWAY. ON THE WAY BACK HOME, THEY WERE COMING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION AND PASSED ME AND TURNED AROUND. THEY FOLLOWED ME OUT OF TOWN ALMOST TO THE CITY LIMIT SIGN. THEY TURNED AND WENT IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION. ANYHOW, I GOT MAD AT THEM AND STOMPED THE PEDAL AND FLEW DOWN THE ROAD AT OVER 100 MPH. I DIDN'T THINK THEY COULD GIVE CHASE BECAUSE IT WAS ANOTHER CITY, BUT BOY WAS I WRONG. NEXT THING I KNEW I WAS IN A PARKING LOT SURROUNDED BY FOUR SQUAD CARS(ONE WHO CHASED AND THREE FROM CITY I WAS IN) AND WAS TAKEN TO POLICE DEPARTMENT. I WAS CRYING AND SOBBING SAYING I'M SORRY AND THEY KEPT ASKING WHY I DID IT AND I KEPT SAYING I DON'T KNOW. I DID KNOW THAT I WAS DOWN AND OUT OVER A RECENT BREAKUP WITH MY GIRLFRIEND. I CALLED MY BROTHER AND HE CAME DOWN TO POLICE STATION AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THEY RELEASED ME INTO HIS CUSTODY. HE'D BEEN DRINKING AND SMOKING POT,TOO!! I WAS CHARGED WITH RECKLESS DRIVING AND ELUDING POLICE. THEY SAID THAT IT COULD'VE BEEN WORSE. I COULD HAVE GOTTEN A DWI. I THOUGHT DWI WORSE THAN RECKLESS DRIVING AND ELUDING POLICE?? ANYHOW, I WENT TO COURT, PAID FINE AND LICENSE WAS SUSPENDED FOR SIXTY DAYS. SEEMED LIKE AN ETERNITY, BUT AFTER IT WAS OVER I GOT MY LICENSE AND DROVE AGAIN. DID I DRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE AFTER THAT? OF COURSE. KNOW WHAT CHANGED ME. ME, THAT'S WHO. I FINALLY REALIZED THAT DRINKING AND DRIVING IS NOT JUST UNLAWFUL, IT'S DANGEROUS!! I COULD'VE KILLED SOMEONE OR EVEN MYSELF, EVEN IF IT WAS JUST A SHORT TRIP TO THE STORE. SOMEONE COULD OF HAD TO BURY THEIR DAD, MOM, BROTHER, SISTER, SON OR DAUGHTER BECAUSE OF MY WRECKLESS INDIFFERENCE. BYE THE WAY, I WAS 21 AT THE TIME AND HAD A MINIMUM WAGE JOB. ALL I'M SAYING IS YOU'RE A BEAUTIFUL LADY AND ANY MAN IN HIS RIGHT MIND WOULD BE WITH YOU EVEN IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE A DIME IN THIS WORLD. I KNOW I WOULD!! PLEASE DON'T THROW IT ALL AWAY>
Hanna (1:38 PM 6/10/2007): Shut up already Paris and serve your time. Actions speak louder than words... and that statement she issued, I bet she did not even know there was a war going on in Iraq. She is so self consumed. The greatest punishment she could receive is to have no more media coverage, to not make millions by just appearing in public. I may sound cynical but there is SO much more going on in this world and she is not worthy of the attention she receives. What kind of role model is she?
roseM (2:56 PM 6/10/2007): To Rick who has been in law enforcement for 33 years....
I've heard of several people in my little community who have served time on their second DWI, as it should be. I was so grateful when the crackdown took place in the 70s and a slap on the wrist was no longer the typical sentence for risking the lives of others and I applaud each and every offender who spends time behind bars. Paris may learn nothing from this but at the very least she won't kill anyone for the next month. I doubt her sentence will keep her from drinking herself to death, people who act so foolishly with complete disregard for human life have a substance abuse problem that a month won't solve but maybe, just maybe she'll start calling cabs or hiring limos when she gets smashed.
david j hipp (2:34 PM 6/10/2007): the judge gave her the same 45 day sentence he has given to many other offenders
she should be in jail; she can seek mental help when she gets out
it should be required
David (2:27 PM 6/10/2007): County jails are the worst. They stink of urine and feces, the food is mere subsistance, there is a constant din of noise, 24/7, from inmates boom boxes, other various electronics, not to mention screaming, and verbal fighting among and between other inmates.
I don't make fun of her saying it is the hardest thing she ever did.
Go visit one, and see for yourself.
david j hipp (2:31 PM 6/10/2007): i am just trying out my new password
it looks like the #'s on the uniform garb now being worn by Ms. Hilton
she should be in jail, and it should be required that she gets mental help when she gets out - does anyone think Brittany will visit Paris while Paris is doin her time (?)
david j hipp (2:47 PM 6/10/2007): maybe Paris can learn a new "trade" when she is in jail - some "offenders" take time in jail to learn a new skill
maybe she can learn how to sweep up hair in the barber shop; then she can get a job sweeping up hair in a beauty parlor in Hollywood
ROBERT (3:21 PM 6/10/2007): A EMBARASSMENT TO AMERICA. JUST RICH WHITE TRASH.MOST PEOPLE COULD CARE LESS WHAT HAPPENS TO THIS SPOILT BRAT. WHERE WERE HERE PARENTS WHEN SHE WAS GROWING UP
ROBERT (3:20 PM 6/10/2007): POOR RICH WHITE TRASH. WHY ARE WE FEEDING ON THIS. AN EMBRASSMENT TO AMERICA. WHEHE WERE PARENTS WHEN SHE WAS GEROWING UP. I FEEL SORRY FOR BROTHER
JUSTICE (3:05 PM 6/10/2007): I'VE PICKED ON HER A LOT IN THE LAST WEEK, I'M NOT PROUD OF IT, BUT I DO THINK IN THE END IT WILL BE FOR THE BETTER.
AS FAR AS THE LETTER SHE WROTE, THE LAWYERS DID A NICE JOB. WE KNOW IT WAS THEM. BUT PARIS, U CAN DO IT, THIS IS GOOD BELIEVE IT OR NOT, NOT A FAN, BUT STILL WANT YOU TO PULL THROUGH, BECAUSE I KNOW YOU GOT IT IN YOU, JUST SLOW DOWN, AND THINK! THEN MAYBE I'LL THINK DIFFERENT, I HOPE I WILL SOMEDAY. :)
JohnS (11:22 AM 6/18/2007): I am glad to say that I did the only thing I could, I bought a Paris Hilton DVD, great stuff!!! I put into my DVD case along with my Dixie Chicks DVD. Go Paris, I love you!!!
Cindy (4:10 PM 6/10/2007): I do feel bad for. I think they are just trying to make an example out of here. Where I live, people violate their probation all the time, drive on suspended sentences multiple times and nothing happens to them but more probation. Sometimes after ALOT of times they might have to spend 15 days max in jail. I think they are totally taking it into excess because of who she is.
susan (4:18 PM 6/10/2007): OK...just found this silly page! Does ANYONE actually think/believe this pathectic young woman actually wrote any of those statements? Especially about the troups in Iraq? Can she spell Iraq? This is the same girl who had her screwing with that low-life boyfriend video'd so SHE could watch it later and she did not think he would ever sell it??? Come on...are we that stupid? She is serving her time
jenn (4:21 PM 6/10/2007): Paris Hilton needs to growup and serve her time. She could have killed somebody that night. She has the money to have a driver so she could drink. She was very irrisponsible, just like all the celebritys' who drink and drive. So Paris should suck it up and deal with it. Just because somebody has money and is famous doesn't make them special. They have the same laws as the rest of us........
Chris Jacobson (4:27 PM 6/10/2007): With a name like Barron, you're bound to get mugged.
