According to the New York Daily News (last item, side dish), CBS has all but offered Bob Barker's old microphone to Drew Carey. All Carey has to do is audition for the hosting gig on the Price Is Right.

Drew Carey is a comedian - not a good choice for "Price."
I also agree with the choice for Tom Bergeron. He's a gentleman and yet quite humorous.

cedartears (8:52 PM 7/17/2007): Why dont they just retire THE PRICE IS RIGHT show? Bob Barker can not be replaced. It will never be the same again, lets just remember it as it was... Not how it may turn out to be. So lets move on with our lives with a new game show, or maybe a good movie or a comedy ,in its place....

I agree with the poster above that they should be more open minded in looking for the next host.
Give me someone who is unknown with Bob's traits, (not that he/she will be as good as Bob right away)over Rosie, George, Drew or anyone they have mentioned so far.

It will NEVER be the same without Bob and I know the ratings are going to drop dramatically if they continue to be on air. CBS should simply let the show go down in the history books. Like all good things...it must come to an end.

Tom is bright, articulate and won't ridicule the participants as the others would just because of their own fragile egos. Please, someone, offer it to TOM
