Comments like "she doesn't deserve that" or "serves her right" are usually prompted by jeaslously or some judgemental complex. So step down off your high horse and realize that she is a person just like everyone else, and her antics are no different than you're average college girl, she just happened to have a camera follow her around. And I'm not saying that I sympathize with her because she is more than capable of supporting herself, but what do I know?

She has plenty of ways to make money anyway (both respectable and otherwise). It would have been nice if the parents and grandparents had given her more counsel and support before it came to this.

Her mom lost her composure in court loudly accusing the court for being unfair to her daughter claiming that the courts, the media, most of the public where just being unfair to Paris because she’s rich and famous, in other words we are all jealous. While Paris was still in jail her father was shopping around for a Las Vegas hotel to host a getting out of jail party and pay the Hiltons a million bucks for the privilege. It is obvious by their actions that her family doesn’t see a lot wrong with their daughter’s life style so why would her grandfather be so upset with his granddaughter’s lifestyle that he would take her out of his will? Perhaps this is really just a publicity ploy to garner some sympathy for Paris and make her look less like an overindulged rich girl that does not have to work or develop any real talent.

Doug (11:22 AM 7/31/2007): It's sad and funny to read comments like the ones on this site. It seems like no one takes the situation and really examines it seriously. The question here should be "Who is served by Paris inheriting $60 Million?" The answer is that no one is served. Paris life is absolutely not one bit better because of the money, certainly the average joe in the street is no better off, and certainly the poor are not helped. We should pass a law that caps inheritence to something like $10 Million, the rest should go to either charities or the government. No one needs more money than that for their lifetime. It's just a sick way of making our country into a 'fuedal' society where instead of titles, the lords use cash to pass their domain to their children....

People are still homeless because prices have gone up on everything, houses cost more, rents are higher, food is higher yet the pay has stayed the same. I cannot even imagine your grief, his wife's, his children's. My prayers remain with you and just perhaps someone who does read this blog will find you and grant your request. People like you and the single mother who's struggling are what make me so angry about these "spoiled rich kids" antics. Minus the drugs and alcohol abuse, Paris isn't as bad as many and in these days, is acting her age. I only wish I had money for nothing else but to help the so many in dire need.
