ballonknot (12:01 PM 2/11/2008): Too liberal use of the word fat. Sure she might not be fat as far as weighing 300 pounds, but she is fatter than she was. In other words, she's not lean. For some reason we have been using the word fat improperly for years and everyone gets all pissy about it, especially you fat chicks. Stop using the words 'big' and 'fat' interchangeably, and this misconception will end. They don't mean the same thing. One is a reference to body fat, the other a reference to size. Personally, I don't think skinny (like miss Richie) are attractive either, but I differentiate between women who have too much body fat, and those that might not weigh the 'right' amount, whatever that is. Take a look at fitness models, their not skinny like runway models, but they're lean. Muscle is sexy, fat isn't, I wish more people would understand that.

To me, she looks 100% better then most people walking the street. Not to mention, being at the beach this year I noticed a ton of women who did not have the body to be wearing bikinis yet were. And trust me when I say Brit looks good. I feel sorry for her at this point- even if she rocked it 110% you'd still be pickin on her for something.

American Pride (1:07 PM 9/11/2007): Even though her preformance was really lacking, her body looks great. She needs help mentally, but leave her body alone. I know a ton of women who would kill for a body like that.

KMF (1:18 PM 9/11/2007): I'm no fan of Britney's and I thought her performance was terrible, but I agree, she's not fat. Sure she would have looked better covered up. Her wardrobe choice was unfortunate. I've heard she turned down the corset outfit Mtv wanted because it wasn't sexy enough. That was a mistake, corsets are really sexy (why else would they be a staple of the lingerie shops if they weren't?) and it would have given her figure the little kapowzah she wanted but didn't get in that two piece.

She doesn't hold up to her former body which we all knew she wouldn't anyway. She had the kids and can't give up the calorie loaded Starbucks and alcoholic drinks(loaded with calories too!) to get back to into pre-kid shape. It can be done but takes time and dedication. She certainly by no stretch of the imagination is fat.

If THAT is fat, let me be that fat!

Chas B (1:41 PM 9/11/2007): Just looking at the video and the stills, she looks fat to me. Maybe she can release her body mass index statistics and put the matter to rest. Most Americans are fat, especially young mothers of two. She's also not teen anymore. So she has excuses, but that doesn't make her less fat or out of shape. I'm fat, too, but I'm not wearing elastic that makes me bulge above and below, and my job doesn't depend on having a firm body.

She could probably tone it up a little more to look better, but to call her fat is to pretty much call EVERY NORMAL-SIZE GIRL IN AMERICA fat also which is far from the truth. Her body is average...get over yourselves.

Kirsys (1:58 PM 9/11/2007): Talent aside, for a whole country to expect a 25 year old to look 16 after 2 little babies, divorce, etc. is beyond ridiculous. As of now, she looks much better than many other female celebrities. This barage of criticism just underlines why young people have so many eating disorders, plastic surgery addictions, self-esteem problems, even while in their teens or early 20s. I think we should be ashamed of ourselves for giving kids such a bad example and I hope that, like Tyra, Britney stands up for herself and speaks out.

Britney is by far not fat you need to adjust your glasses and stop succumbing to todays fat/skinny standard. After two kids most people would die for a body like brit; i would I'm a size 16M callme fat but not britney! Her song wasn't horrible either she is nervous and stiff but I 'd rather like to her new song than umbrella by rhiana anyday!!!
